Pauline’s Delighted With Big Al’s Burgers

Polyanna’s Pantry proprietor Pauline Jackson is over the moon with the encouraging progress she’s made since adding Big Al’s burgers to her menu in January.

“We only started selling them a month ago but already they are going down well with customers from the building trade, who represent our main clientele during the day,” explained Pauline, whose deli café and craft shop business is situated in St Helens.

“The feedback we have received is extremely heartening. Building site workers come in and tell us, “I’ll have one of those tasty burgers”, or simply ask for “the usual”, which is a Big Al’s burger.

“I’ve asked them what they think and they tell me the Big Al’s burgers are delicious and they can tell they are biting into a real burger as opposed to other brands available from high street outlets.”

From her own point of view as a proprietor, Pauline is more than pleased to be selling Big Al’s burgers.

“Warm snacks are very important, especially in the winter months so Big Al’s burgers fit the bill, alongside other warm savouries.

“We sell them either as a cheeseburger with onions on a barm cake for £1.75, or with salad, too, for £2.50 and they go down well with our customers.

“The fact you only have to re-heat them makes preparation simple and efficient and I’d like to say, ‘thanks Big Al’s for a quality cooked burger which enables Pollyanna’s Pantry to provide our loyal customers with a top-notch snack.”

Pauline estimates that she is selling an average of 50 Big Al’s burgers per week, which is yielding a weekly profit per unit of between 70p and £1. With point of sale posters to help promote the brand, she is optimistic about future sales.

“We will certainly continue to sell them and by increasing opening hours I hope to sell even more during the tea time period,” she added.
